2023 Maryland State Poker Championship Returns with Record-Breaking Guaranteed Prize Pool
The Maryland State Poker Championship is back for its seventh year at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, promising an exciting tournament series with a total guaranteed prize pool of over $1.1 million.
Organized by Cordish, this year's championship features 22 events, including more game variants than last year. The series includes Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and 7-card stud events, ensuring a diverse range of poker disciplines for participants.
The Main Event of the series, with a $2,200 buy-in and a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool, is expected to offer even larger payouts than last year, when the event paid out over $1.6 million, $500,000 over the guarantees.

A special one-day Labor Day holiday event, with a $500 buy-in and a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, is also part of this year's tournament series.
The tournament series will take place in Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland's two-story poker room, equipped with 50 tables, a private bar, and on-site masseuses for the comfort of participants. The tournament series will run from August 27 to September 8.
